My top 3 fat loss tips to get your body ready for the summer holidays!

As the holidays roll around there can be the expectation of more social gatherings, more food, more time commitments and most importantly more fun!

You will hear often here at MPH we talk about lifestyle transformations. A part of that framework is learning how you can achieve fantastic results with your body while still living the lifestyle you desire.

You don't have to go full 'restriction' mode if you do not wish to. You can have a lot of fun with your family and friends and still keep your body composition progressing and not taking a step back with your results.

  1. Don't stop training

Habits are important. If you are going to drop your activity levels over the holidays all that extra food may go to the places you do not wish to. How do you want to feel when your out in the sun with your friends and family? 

Your workouts matter. They will help burn some energy and if done correctly build a nice physique.

  1. Alcohol

Yes, alcohol will be poured, consumed and spilled. I am actually not against alcohol. Excess consumption I wouldn't recommend at times though if you choose correctly you can have a great time and not feel let out. Clear spirits such as vodka and gin can be used to limit calories. Sugar free soft drink as mixers... and in the worse cases low carb beer (its better than nothing).

I personally do not drink beer. My drink of choice is vodka on the rocks.

  1. Nutrition

Yes there will be food. Deciding what you can eat will be a important task. Our philosophy at mph is to consume foods that have been fished, gathered, plucked or hunted. There are so many choices these days that there really isn't any excuse. When out follow this guideline.

My personal choice of food when out is a nice steak, sweet potato wedges (sometimes not) and vegetables. No sauce.

Your decision making with dictate the quality of your body during the festive season. Better quality decision. Better quality body.
