As a coach I personally believe that it's important to have both empathetic and authority driven character traits when it comes to helping clients achieve their goals.

At times, cutting through the excuses and 'stupid' stories we tell ourselves and seeing it for what it is, can be the way to drastically make some decent changes.

  • "I don't have time"
  • "I am too old.."
  • "I have a slow metabolism"
  • "I don't have the motivation"

These are just a few stories I have heard over the years. If you fight for your limiting beliefs, they will truly be yours. If you question your beliefs, values and behaviours.... than you might actually achieve some goals that deep down inside you may be wanting to achieve.

What you tell yourself is what you will live and become. I am mindful of language when listening to people. By doing this you can tell a lot about how someone perceives themselves and what they are capable of.

For this blog I am going to keep it short.... yet one of the most powerful recommendations I can possibly give. If the above has made you think or hit home. I challenge you to ask better questions of the language and stories you tell yourself. A honest and upfront conversation might be what you need.... this can be done within yourself or by someone else that can possibly help see the roadblocks. To become who you wish to be, you will need to change the way you are now. That includes the way you think, act and live.
