The first half of training was strength focused periodisation to develop a stronger neural output and correct movement patterns. We used step loading and stage systems eg. (10,10,8,8,8) progressions. The aim was to build a stronger base to handle more intensity with the fat loss/accumulation phases that were to come in the second half that involved more metabolic stress and volume work like Tri Sets and HFT.
Jen is a Level 5 nutrition mastery client. Communicates effectively and gives 100% to the plan.
We started with a simple plan in a deficit building up calories before going to 2 High, 5 low and eventually 3 High 4 low. These last 4 weeks we peaked with a 4-1 (4 low x 1 High Fat Day) protocol which she responded extremely well to.
Jen was meant to compete this last weekend. Given circumstances with the Corona virus stopping competitions, we are now focused on future comps that are 23 weeks out.
Time to build the calories back up, get some Hypertrophy before leaning out again!
