WHAT IS IT?

A toxic substance – can be a chemical from nature itself or an artificial product created by humans.

 ☞    A natural product such as poisonous mushrooms, or snakes' venom are referred to as ‘toxins’

☞     A man-made product such as pesticides, or the BPH chemical found in plastics are referred to as ‘toxicants’

Toxins / Toxicants are chemicals that are foreign to your body

 

Your body has a built in detoxication system that is constantly at work filtering new and foreign substances your body faces. This biological system has been adapting to its environment since the age of time.

In the 1760’s the ‘Industrial Revolution’ sparked a mass wave of commercialised products that the human population brought into daily life. The powerful smells of petrol’s, paint, cigarettes, fertiliser, alcohols, deodorants are all examples of toxicants your nose can sense is out of the ordinary.  Disregarding the Industrial Era.

Just think.  In the last 20 years…..  

....Has the air and water quality improved?

...Has pesticide spraying stopped?

..Has plastic manufacturing reduced?

WITH TIME - The toxicity levels have only increased, way faster than the human body can naturally adapt. Our skin will continue to absorb as will our body breathe and drink.

 

GROWING epidemiological studies are finding large amounts of correlations between toxic chemicals being the cause / increasing  the risk of chronic illnesses.

☞  Having a prolonged exposure to these man-made chemicals promotes DNA mutations, dysfunctional cell growth, tumour formation, hormone irregularities the list goes on.

☞ If you ignore all other human diseases and infertility implications. Simply being exposed to toxicants can create an imbalance in hormones

EXAMPLE - Oestrogen. Any one individual that has high levels of Oestrogen holds onto stubborn fat around areas of the body e.g. Quads & Hamstrings. From a pure physic standpoint setting up an environment where you can actively make choices to decrease your toxic load will enhance your physic.

 

 

10 TIPS - TO REDUCE YOUR TOXIC LOAD

1.  Ditch the BPA Free Plastics

NOTE: That plastic ‘BPA free’ drink bottles are toxic as chemicals leach into the water from the plastic, just because something is marked ‘BPA free’ means they simply use another chemical to replace the popular BPA chemical.

Store, eat, drink, heat all food in glass or stainless-steel containers.

2.  Consume Organic Meat Products Where Possible.

3.  Scrub / Soak Pesticides Off your Fruit & Veg.

4.   Avoid Heavy Metals in the Kitchen

NOTE: Aluminium foil don’t cook with it, use stainless steel pans over ‘teflon non - stick’.

5.   Drink Plenty of High-Quality Water

NOTE: Consider water filters / test your water quality.

6.   Use Natural Deodorants & Sprays in the House.

7.   Daily Walks

☞ Walk in nature / try to avoid busy roads.

8.   Check your Skin Products / Replace with Safer Products.

9.   Vacuum with a HEPA Filter

☞ HEPA filter - Gets contaminants out of the house, without inhaling the toxic chemicals.

10. Detox your Body to Enhance your Recovery  

EXAMPLES

☞ Saunas – encourages body to sweat and remove waste through the skin

☞ Massage – stimulates lymphatic and blood circulation

 You can’t avoid all toxic chemicals that are in our environment, but we have the power to limit our exposer to toxicants which enhance our bodies ……Your health is yours, you have to own it and you have to look after it.
